These exams are held in two sessions annually: the 1st session from January to June, and the 2nd session from July to December.

The exams follow the syllabus specified in government-issued general or special orders and are administered in two formats:

  • Conventional Type: 19 papers across 13 subjects, assessed through a centralized valuation system.
  • Objective Type (OMR): 98 papers across 63 subjects, conducted in multiple-choice format.

Detailed information about these subjects is provided in the instructions to candidates.

Candidates are advised to download their Admission Tickets/Hall Tickets from the KPSC official website prior to the examination date. The Commission will not send admission tickets separately. It is essential for candidates to keep the downloaded admission ticket for future reference, as duplicate copies will not be issued later by Karnataka PSC.
